Our Training Philosophy: Building Bonds Through Trust
Training Philosophy

Keep it as fun as you can!!
I use a praise/play motivational technique that engages the handler with the dog. The more fun you have with your dog, the more your dog is going to want to work for you. With our “one command, one time” method of teaching we are striving for consistency on the dog’s part as well as the Handler’s part. There are consequences for non-compliance but greater rewards for getting it right.
Each and every dog is different depending on breed, temperament, and history, so training is specialized to each individual case.
I like to focus on the owner; the dog is easy! Educating the owner on how to take the leadership role and be consistent with their dog in everyday situations is key to a healthy relationship.
There are three methods of training that you can choose from:
- We split the training 50/50. I begin working with your dog for the first half of our session and then you take over for the rest.
- You handle your dog 100% of the time while I instruct and guide you from the side.
- I handle your dog 100% of the time and then transfer the commands and technique over to you.
In dog training, consistency is key to success. I ask that all clients signing up for training sessions dedicate a few weeks to their dog and training. We will get together for a minimum of three sessions per week so training moves forward. With this formula for success, you can quickly get on with your life and enjoy your dog.
