About Christina
Meet The Trainer
Christina’s passion for dogs began in childhood with her family’s rescued border collie. From a young age, she immersed herself in breed books, training guides, and resources on dog psychology and training techniques.
While living in Vancouver, Christina volunteered for two years at the Vancouver BCSPCA as a dog program coordinator, dog walker, and rehabilitation worker for dogs facing aggression, fear, abuse, or puppy mill backgrounds. Her experiences at the shelter fueled her desire to change her career path, leading her back to school to become a Certified Professional Dog Trainer. She attended Canada’s only government-accredited school for dog trainers, graduating from Ben Kersen and the Wonderdogs’ Professional Dog Training Program in 2006. Following graduation, she founded Diva Dogs, managed a dog boarding kennel, and served as the head trainer for various obedience levels, focusing on her passion for working with “damaged” dogs.
Christina’s mission as a trainer is to rehabilitate unbalanced dogs and integrate them back into society. She aims to educate dog owners, and even non-dog owners, on proper training, rehabilitation, and interactions with dogs.
Her own dogs are part of her training team at Diva Dogs, forming a pack that assists in training, particularly with aggressive or reactive dogs and puppies. Each member of her pack plays a valuable role in her training approach.
In addition to her professional work, Christina and her dogs enjoy activities like flyball, agility, frisbee, and have been members with The Official SuperDogs Performace Team for many years.

The Pack
MAYA Australian Shepherd
Born: 1999 - 2012
Maya inspired my career in dog training. Her behavior challenges pushed me to explore various techniques. She was my “take-down” and distraction dog, aiding with aggressive cases. Maya, my ultimate “Diva,” taught me invaluable lessons before passing in 2012. I’m grateful for our seven years together.
DISCO Miniature Australian Shepherd
Born: October 2014
Disco is my lively, social butterfly dog. She loves meeting new people, stealing everyone’s hearts (and treats…). She has had a long career playing flyball and began performing with The Official SuperDogs Performance Team in 2016. Even though she is the senior of the pack, she still loves to show off her tricks and charm everyone that she meets.
RUMBA Miniature Australian Shepherd
Born April 2017
The tiniest dog in the pack but the ultimate boss dog. Rumba is a feisty go-getter. She does everything at 110%. This little girl loves to work and has excelled in many dog sports. She is a great performer and gets the crowds roaring when she “does the job wrong”
JITTERBUG Dalmatian
Born April 2020
The most amazing spotted dog in the world! He is power, he is grace, he is a super loving boy that will try his hardest to please you. Loves children and loves the limelight. Jitter excels in flyball, agility, high jumping, and any new trick I teach him. We are very grateful that he is a part of the Diva Dog Pack.
MIRAGE Saluki
Born March 2021
The fastest couch potato ever to grace my household. This is a breed that I’ve wanted since childhood – he’s beautiful and quite humorous, but I’ve had to learn how to think outside-the-box with this one. Super smart but an independent thinker – in many ways he’s just a huge cat. Mirage excels at lure coursing and dog powered sports such as bikejoring.
